Israeli Drone Crashes in Syria During Routine Activity

The Israeli military reported that one of their drones crashed in Syria during a routine operation. According to a statement released on Wednesday, there was no compromise of information, and an investigation into the incident is underway. No further details were provided in the statement.

Over the past few years, Israel has conducted airstrikes against Iranian targets and Hezbollah group's weapons convoys in Syria as part of a shadow war, as reported by Xinhua news agency. In a separate incident on the same day, the Iron Dome aerial defence system intercepted a drone from the Hamas group, which rules the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military clarified that the drone was taken down over Gaza's airspace and did not pose a threat to civilians in the surrounding area or cross into Israeli territory.
