Suneel Kumar Bhardwaj, a former sailor with the Indian Navy for 15 years, has now transitioned to the role of Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Uttar Pradesh police force, after teaching economics at a government school in Mathura for over three years.
Suneel shared his journey in the Navy, including serving on INS LUC39, INS Jalashwa, and the directorate of naval plans as an IT assistant, and his decision to pursue a career in the civil services, even before retiring as a Petty Officer in 2019.
As a teacher, Suneel sharpened his knowledge for the general studies paper, and his experience with the Navy and teaching will help him discharge his duties as a civil servant. He secured the 91st rank in his third attempt in the examination conducted by the UP Public Service Commission. Suneel resides in Ajnokh village with his family and is among four candidates from Mathura to qualify for the examination.
