On Sunday, the Indian Army reported that during a search operation in Jhangar and Naushera sectors near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, they discovered two advanced pistols, two kilograms of narcotics, and two kilograms of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
The Army stated that this operation prevented a potentially major incident that could have been instigated by the perpetrators who intended to use the weapons and IED, which were funded by narco-terrorists.
The officials said, ‘Based on intelligence inputs, Indian Army conducted operations near the Line of Control at Jhangar, Naushera sectors on March 11. The operations led to recovery of the pistols, narcotics, and 2 kg IED.’
On March 5th, in the Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir, the Indian Army discovered 7 kg of narcotics and foreign currency worth more than Rs 2 crore in the home of Mohd Rafique.
