In a virtual meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged the Gujarat government to ensure the safe relocation of people in vulnerable areas and maintain essential services. The meeting included Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Union ministers, local representatives, and officials from affected districts. Evacuation efforts have already commenced, with approximately 30,000 people relocated to temporary shelters, according to Alok Kumar Pandey, the state commissioner of relief. Joint relief operations involving the Army, civil administration, and National Disaster Response Force have been coordinated to address the potential impact of the cyclone.
