LAC Tensions: India Clashed Twice With China in 15 Months

In a span of 15 months, the Indian and Chinese armies engaged in at least two clashes along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Additionally, numerous covert operations were undertaken along the LAC to monitor the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China during critical periods.

The revelation of these confrontations and covert activities emerged during recent investiture ceremonies held separately by the Western Army Command in Chandimandir and the Central Army Command in Lucknow over the past three days. The gallantry medals were awarded to officers and personnel for operations conducted between September 2021 and November 2022.

Details of these operations, previously undisclosed, were unveiled as citations were read aloud during the award presentations. The Western Command has taken down a YouTube video of the event, while the Central Command's YouTube link remained accessible until Monday evening.
