The Army and the Border Security Force organised a synergy conference in Jalandhar, Punjab on Tuesday to discuss common issues related to operational preparedness, joint training, and contemporary operational challenges.
The conference took place at the Vajra Corps headquarters and was presided over by Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps, as per an official statement.
Senior officers of both the Army and the BSF, including Dr Atul Fulzele, IG, Frontier Headquarters BSF (Punjab), Major General Rajesh Pushkar, General Officer Commanding, Panther Division, Major General H.S. Vandra, GOC, Golden Arrow Division, also attended the conference.
The participants actively deliberated on common issues related to operational preparedness, joint training, and contemporary operational challenges. The forces shared best practices and evolved a common understanding for synergy across all domains of national security. They pledged to work together for the common purpose of defending the borders.
Lieutenant General Sharma emphasised the need for synergy, integration, and cooperation amongst all stakeholders to ensure a high level of preparedness to thwart inimical designs of the adversary during his address to the officers of both the forces. He also stated that such conferences facilitate the objective of jointmanship, which is an important facet in the national security calculus.
