The biannual Army Commanders’ Conference for 2023 will be held from 17-21 April in a hybrid format.
The first day of the conference will be conducted virtually, while the remaining days will include physical meetings in Delhi. The conference will cover various agenda points sponsored by Command Headquarters and will include updates from the Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command and sessions by Principal Staff Officers of the Army Headquarters. Additionally, progress on the activities charted out as part of ‘Year of Transformation-2023,’ advancements on the Agnipath scheme, digitisation and automation initiatives, Combat Engineers tasks, work aspects, and budget management will be reviewed. The Army will also review the current and emerging security scenarios and the operational preparedness of the force.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will address the conference on April 19 and review an equipment display focusing on niche technology, innovation, solutions for surveillance, Artificial Intelligence, training, robotics, virtual reality, and operational logistics. The conference will also feature a talk on the future contours of India-China relations by Vijay Gokhale, former Foreign Secretary.
