The Army Medical Corps (AMC) commemorated its 259th anniversary at the AMC Centre and College in Lucknow on Monday.
The event was marked by various ceremonies and activities attended by officers, junior commissioned officers, jawans, recruits, and their families. Sports competitions and entertainment programs were organised to mark the occasion. Additionally, senior officers paid tribute to the fallen soldiers at the AMC War Memorial 'Shraddhanjali' who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
In his address, Lieutenant General V Sabid Syed, Commandant of the AMC Centre and College, encouraged officers and troops to continue their unwavering dedication in providing the best medical services and healthcare to soldiers during times of need. The anniversary celebration concluded with a joyful get-together of officers, veterans, and their families at the AMC mess, with special guests being the veterans of the corps, both young and old, coming together to commemorate this significant milestone. Overall, it was a solemn yet celebratory event that highlighted the long-standing legacy and contributions of the Army Medical Corps to the Indian Army.
