The armour that they wear,
The passion that they bear,
And the battles that they have won,
Defines what their legacy has been.
At some distant ranges, where the thick snow clamours for subzero temperatures, freezing the bones
The rustling blizzard witnesses their vigilance and determination on the world's highest battle zone.
When the sun rays fail to penetrate through the density of the Indian forests
You will find them, guarding the vast wilderness;
firm and the calmest.
Further to the west, where on the loose golden sand, snakes and scorpions hunt,
In that harshness, some camouflaged deadly eyes continue to haunt .
Sometimes they rock through the air, with their swiftness and surety.
While other times the great artillery amuses us with its bristling power and immortality.
From forging engineers who are the first to go into war and last to walk out,
To being "tevra chaukas" when operations are carried out.
The armour regiment walks in style, every time unnerving the enemy's confidence.
And with a small grin the AAD shows up to add a bit more to the adversary's hindrance.
Then we see the infantry standing like bristling walls to demolish mindsets which are impotent and fanatical.
While the competent and compassionate hands of AMC heals up wound too deep and critical.
They are our saviour, our heroes, our belief
It is Their presence that renders us relief.
They exaggerate valour and underestimate fear,
For they live a "life less ordinary"
as you will hear.
